How to Hear my Intuition

February is garden planning month so I've been thinking about this...

What do you want to grow this year in your life?

I know a lot of people think about this in January around the new year but I find that January is a slower-paced month and trying to force myself into making a lot of decisions on what I want to create feels so so hard.  So, I decided to put it on the back burner until it felt a little easier.

As I'm slowly easing myself into following the seasons and the natural rhythms of nature, I'm noticing that now, as we're entering into February with more sun and slightly longer days, I'm feeling a little more space to open to these ideas.  If you are too, I invite you to roam into this realm with me.

Sometimes it can feel hard and even close to impossible to know how what I want.  Have you felt that way?

Let's slow this down and talk about why this happens from the perspective of your nervous system.

When your system is dysregulated, there's stuck stress energy in your nervous system.  This means you're going to be in a state of fight, flight, freeze, or a combination of these.  These states are protective and occur when your nervous system is experiencing a threat.  It might be a real threat, like if you're about to get into a car accident, OR a perceived threat where something is happening in the present that reminds your nervous system of something scary or hard that happened in the past.

Either way, if you are in your protective responses, you are not going to be able to think straight or feel what your gut intuition is saying.

So, my friend, there is nothing wrong with you if you don't know what you want or can't hear yourself.  There's this stuck stress energy blocking your ability to feel and hear yourself.

Here's the coolest part.
When you're in your Ventral Vagal Complex, aka as regulation, you will feel completely different than when you're dysregulated.  You'll feel present, connected to yourself and what you want and feel.  You'll start to get more and more aware of your gut knowing and your intuition.  your mind will feel spacious and open to possibilities.

How do you get there?
Reconnecting with your inner knowing is a daily, ongoing, practice.  Over time you'll develop a practice of daily NS hygiene essential to shifting your body's response to stress and is the foundation for clearing stuck stress energy from your nervous system.

Do you want someone to shortcut this process for you?  Guide you into building a toolbox of regulation resources and help you to gently release the stuck stress so you can shift into feeling more open, present, and able to hear your divine intuition.
